Tomato - Santa Clara Canner: Heirloom. Large harvests of smooth, flattened, intensely red tomatoes.
8-10oz and have a very good, rich and complex flavor. Indeterminate.

Tomato - Violet Jasper: Cherry. Violet-purple fruit with iridescent green streaks, 1-3 ounces,
are smooth and have good tasting, dark purplish-red flesh, high
yield. Indeterminate. 70 days. Planted in West Garden on March 8 Flavor: Total Harvest:
Tomato - Vorlon: Open Pollinated. From Bulgaria. A stunning purple-black tomato with rich dark
flesh. Smoky flavor. Indeterminate. 75 days. Planted in West Garden on March 8. Flavor: Total Harvest:
Pepper - Cabaca Roxa: Hot. 75 days. From Brazil look like tiny purple gourds. Tasty and
aromatic but quite hot. Productive. Planted in the West Garden on April 15 (new moon). Flavor: Total Harvest:
Pepper - Datil Sweet: Hot. 100 days. Just like the famous Datil from Florida but no fiery
heat. Uncommon, fruity. 2 inch pods ripen to red. Planted in East Garden on April 15 (new moon). Flavor: Total Harvest:
Pepper - Manganji: Hot. 80-90 days. King of Japanese Chili Peppers but actually sweet.
A traditional vegetable in Kyoto with soft skin and lots of
possibilities. Planted in East Garden on April 15 (new moon) Flavor: Total Harvest:
Pepper - Melrose: Sweet. 60 days. Italian heirloom. Very early frying pepper, 4" long, turn
brilliant red very early in the season. Rich,sweet flavor. Planted in the East Garden on April 15 (new moon) Flavor: Total Harvest:
Herb - Genovese Basil: (East Austin Garden Fair on April 7) Classic Italian Variety. Authentic flavor and appearance. Tall and relatively slow to bolt with large dark-green leaves about 3" long. ht. 24-30". Use teh flowers in any recipe that calls for basil, or to garnish drinks, salads, soups, pasta, and desserts. Flavor is of intense basil.
Fruit - Watermelon: (East Austin Garden Fair on April 7). Not sure of the variety - it may be sugar baby since that's what the other watermelons there were, but this one did not have a plant tag.
